Boho Chic + Fringe

Boho Chic + Fringe

I did a little thrifting this past weekend and came across a great pair of Joe’s jeans…I had been on the hunt for the perfect flare leg fit and these fit the bill for just $1! YES, 1 dollar!! They were new with tags, and retail for a whopping $179! This cool pair of jeans inspired me to try a bohemian style outfit. I added a pretty lace patterned top, fun fringe accessories and some serious platform booties to complete my look. The lace top was under $15, purse was on sale for $25 and I pulled the booties out of my winter shoe bin…so total spent for this outfit was just $41! {see links at bottom of post for where to shop items}

When I want to achieve a look I always peruse my own closet before hitting the stores or searching online…if you can’t pull out at least 1-2 pieces to contribute to your outfit then you may need to go back to the basics with your existing wardrobe. I will be posting about maximizing your current wardrobe very soon, because this will save you tons of money month to month and eliminate the need to run to the mall for every occasion.

So back to these amazing $1 Joe’s jeans…I promised I would share how I snagged them for this steal of a price! Well, I jumped on an annual blowout sale that a local {non-profit} designer resale store hosted. If you are not a thrifter {but open to the idea}, or if you are but don’t know the good spots, I suggest that you do some online research to find out about the best clothing resale stores in your area from other women that are avid thrifters. Next, go to the stores and sign up for their email distribution list to be the first to know about special sales. Sales on top of prices that are already significantly lower than retail is where the real savings are at! I mostly shop designer resale versus Goodwill or similar stores, and a lot of the items I purchase are brand new with tags! I know the idea of thrifting can be overwhelming for many, so I will be sharing tips on how to effectively tackle these types of stores in the near future. In the meantime, enjoy this boho style outfit inspo!

    Hey there, great look! I am wondering where you got that purse. I had the exact Steve Madden one in black and recently had it stolen during a weekend in south beach. I originally got it at Ross in LA and now looking for another. My friend sent me your link and I think I like the brown purse better. Would love to find it so if you can let me know where that would be awesome. Thanks!

    Hi Jana! Thank you for visiting my blog! I bought my purse from Burlington Coat Factory. If there are no stores in your area, you can also shop online. Hope you find it! 🙂
