Stripes + Ripped Denim

If you know me at all, you know I love stripes! I can spot a striped garment from a mile away, and I’ll immediately grab it for a closer look. Great thing is stripes are “in” year round…whether it’s a button-down, sweater, tank or even slacks…you really can’t go wrong. I paired my shirt with ripped jeans which I bought thrifted for $2.92, can’t beat that! Thanks to whoever distressed them just the way I like ’em! It never fails that when I have a particular item in mind that I want {and can’t find in retail stores}, I find it almost immediately at my go-to thrift/consignment stores. For tips on how to strike gold in the thrift shops go read my recent post on the 10 Best Tips!

Now on to the lace-ups! These are my fav ZARA heels, they’re a few seasons old and I literally never get bored with them. I love a heel that’s comfortable and very versatile, as to not sit on my shoe wall and collect dust! The black and white Christian Siriano handbag is from his runway-inspired line he designs for Payless ShoeSource. When a designer that I like collaborates with a more affordable brand I jump at the opportunity to purchase his/her designs…even if it means standing in a line wrapped around the building for a few hours! Trust me, it’s worth it to save a couple hundred dollars {or more}.

I wore this outfit for a daytime cookout, but this look can also be perfect for a day in the city or brunch with girlfriends. Happy Saturday!
