The Perfect Boyfriend + Lace Ups

The Perfect Boyfriend + Lace Ups

I have to admit that I have never been a huge fan of the boyfriend fit denim…I’m more of a clean, classic fit kinda girl. But when the distressed jeans trend was so hot this summer I caved in and jumped on the bandwagon with the rugged, relaxed look of the boyfriend jeans. Especially when I finally found and tried on the perfect pair!

I’d be selfish if I didn’t share with you where I got this fabulous pair from and why it’s my new obsession for on-trend clothing (they have cute shoes too!). The boutique is Lizard Thicket, they’ve been around since 1981 and currently have 12 boutiques in 3 states. I love their stores because they carry unique pieces in limited quantities…unlike the ever so popular “online boutiques” that all carry the same stuff and use the same handful of vendors. Lizard Thicket carries lots of boho chic styles (think flowy tops and floral/paisley print dresses) which I absolutely love. You can also order online with them, so check out their site. And don’t forget to sign up for their newsletter to receive monthly coupons!

Now on to this adorable fringe bag {yes, I’m STILL obsessed with fringe!} and the perfect pair of lace-up flats! I love a good multi-functional purse. This one is crossbody so I can wear it on one shoulder, across my chest or I can stuff the strap inside and carry it as a clutch! I paired my blush/cream bag with these super comfortable lace-ups for a casual chic look.

Even though it’s fall and everyone is naturally transitioning to darker colors, I’m still rocking my brights, especially the ones that have fall tones. Don’t be so quick to store away all your bright colored garments…just tone it down by pairing them with dark or neutral solids. Oh, and my pretty J. Crew top is thrifted, of course!

See all of my outfit details at the end of the pictures, hope you like!
