Let’s keep it short & sweet today…because after all, who wants to read a novel on a Friday?! {ok maybe it’s just me *frowns*}. I think we can all agree that fashion is all over the place right now as this winter is proving to be a transitional season. One day it’s freezing and I’m all bundled up, and the next it’s warm and sunny and I’m tempted to pull out my dress sandals and mini skirts!
My advice to win this confusing battle is to start pulling out your spring wardrobe that you may have stored away in bins or another closet, and mix in your favorite staples from last spring with your current winter drobe. Then layer, layer, layer!! Here are a few layering ideas:
- A sleeveless dress with a leather moto jacket
- Culottes and a tank with a light, longline coat
- A colorful two-piece (midi skirt & top) with an oversized cardigan
A sleek pair of open-toed booties would pair beautifully with any of the aforementioned looks. Now is also a good time to snag some new pieces in anticipation of the next season because stores are beginning to release their spring collections, and will typically run great sales to entice buyers. At the moment it’s pretty chilly in Atlanta, so I opted for a two-piece knit set in a bright, bold color! It’s from New York & Company, and I’m loving their current collection of twin sets that are perfect for this transitional weather.
