Summer To Fall Transitions With Sammydress: Part III

I call perfect timing on the conclusion to my summer to fall style series because it’s officially the first day of fall, and let’s be real…it’s going to feel like summer for a lot of us for weeks {maybe even months} to come! My all-time favorite base piece for layering during these transitional months is the bodysuit.

Every woman needs at least a modest collection of bodysuits (black, white & nude for starters) in her closet, and here’s why:

1.)  A bodysuit creates a sleek tailored look underneath fall layers eliminating those awkward bulges that may be confused as muffin top to others. 😉

2.)  Bodysuits allow you to peel off the layers while still looking chic when the temps go from cold to hot in a days time. A tastefully sexy one like this plunge neck bodysuit from Sammydress is perfect for a night out on the town.

Oh, and if you can tolerate it, opt for the thong bodysuits to avoid visible panty lines!aliya_simonsaltphoto26aliya_simonsaltphoto29Even though this plunge neckline is a bit deeper than what I would normally go for, I couldn’t pass up the pretty lace detailing! I’ve never been the type to go braless due to my lack of assets in this department *smirks*…but I’ve learned that when you begin to embrace ALL of you, people find you more beautiful than they did before simply because your confidence is now shining through!img_20160920_205539aliya-bw_simonsaltphoto03aliya_simonsaltphoto36img_20160921_221900img_20160921_223758Denim: Old Navy // Jacket: NY&C // Hat: Lavish Alice // Boots & Bracelet: JustFab

This series was inspired by Sammydress because the highlighted pieces from all of my looks are sponsored by the company. I highly recommend this online retailer for all of your fast fashion needs at a steal (my bodysuit is priced at $7!).

Other sites to browse for great bodysuits (from low to high price points) are Forever 21H&MASOSMissguided & Lavish Alice. If you want a bit of cinching in a bodysuit go for a full coverage style from stores like NordstromAmazonSpanx & Macy’s.

Also, you can read up on my tips for shopping trendy fashion in Part I of this series, and catch the scoop on creating contrasting outfit combinations this season in Part II!

I could literally go on and on about bodysuits but I won’t, so leave me any questions/thoughts/tips in the comments section below and let’s keep the conversation going!

Fashionably Yours,

  1. Looking stunning sweetie! And you’re right, summer will go on for quite a while it seems. Was summer in Sweden when I left this morning and it’s been REALLY hot here in Paris where I am now. Jeez. Not complaining though. 🙂
