The title of this post may leave you thinking that I’m referring to the actual silver lines on these fab jeans I’m wearing, but I’m implying the term “silver lining” in its’ more literal sense today…
As we approach midweek I’m reminded of my extra long To-Do List of everything that I need to do in a hurry in order to get where I want to be in life right now! But the reality of my daily situation is that there are only 24 hours in every day (7-8 in which I attempt to sleep) and life will always throw “mom”, “wife”, “work”, and “plain ol’ tired” curveballs at me that will prevent me from ever staying ahead of that “list”. Growing up I was raised to always see the glass half full, and to be optimistic about the future. I don’t know about you, but as hard as it is to remember that and not beat myself up over the little things, I always make sure to constantly praise God for my current blessings in life. When I met my husband I said “God, if you never bless me again in life, I’m happy with just this amazing man!”. When I had my daughter who is a miracle baby I said “God, if you never bless me again in life, I’ll be forever content with my baby girl!” But somehow we always WANT MORE!!
In this new season (I just celebrated a Bday!) I’m promising to not rush the next phases of life (professionally and personally), but to be patient and always thankful for the current because there are others in this world that would give anything to be where we are in life no matter how WE view our own situation. So cheers to the silver lining!! Work hard towards those goals and be hopeful about your future, and remember to always find the good in those not so favorable situations! Outfit incl. shoes & shoulder bag: Zara // Sunnies: local shop
Here I’m wearing one of my favorite styles…a look somewhere in the middle of the road where professional and street style meet! And of course I pulled off the look by curating pieces all from my favorite retailer, Zara. If your digging it and want to re-create it, simply piece together a chic work outfit from head to toe, and then replace the slacks with a pair of your fanciest skinny jeans. This look is ideal for those after 5 corporate events/mixers, or even an easy change after work for a dinner date or drinks with the girls!
