As women we all love a little makeup to enhance our natural beauty, but the truth is makeup can’t look flawless without a healthy canvas underneath! Ideally we want our skin, hair & nails to be as healthy as possible. I want to share with you 5 beauty products that I discovered last year that I definitely can’t live without in 2018! Here’s my short list that will have your exterior glowing & beautiful…
I’m slowly but surely becoming a huge fan of Korean skin care products…and this serum is a major reason why! The main ingredients match up with the super expensive SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic serum, and delivers the same amazing results in my opinion. It also has a handful of other organic ingredients that are essential for healthy, glowing skin. This serum has erased my annoying frown line, tightened my pores, gives my skin a beautiful luminous glow, and it’s even fading a few old acne scars. Oh, and if you’re a makeup wearer- foundation sets beautifully on top of this stuff (you still need a moisturizer)!
Yes…this is SNAIL cream ladies!! If you want beautiful skin sometimes you have to suck it up and do the unthinkable haha! No but really, research the benefits of snail mucin before you give this one a go. It’s totally safe. I first read about this cream in a beauty article where experts were raving about the product. It definitely lived up to all the hype in my book! This cream is superior for anti-aging, and honestly 30 is the magic number to incorporate a product like this into your skin care routine…even if only used as a preventative measure. The cream has no bad smell, and soaks into the skin so nicely- no oily residue. It has tightened and plumped my skin creating a flawless canvas for makeup!
This hair product has been a Mama lifesaver for me! I use this creamy souffle on my daughter’s curly locks, and it is hands down THEE best all-natural product for curly hair that I have ever used! It defines the curls without making them crunchy or hard. I’d say this cream is on the heavier side, so if you’re natural with fine hair it may not be the right product for you. I’ve been natural for almost 20 years, and even though I haven’t rocked my curls in a while I still use this cream instead of gel when I wear hair-pulled-back styles. All in all, this is a deliciously healthy puddin’ for natural/curly girls!
To say I’m obsessed with this soap is an understatement! I legit get maddd when it’s gets down to the size of a grape and I can’t use it anymore! I love the Lush skin care line, and Sandstone is the strongest, most effective soap they make for exfoliation. It has a layer of sand that gets rid of dead skin and softens those sometimes rough elbows & knees. The bar smells good AND it feels good! *Bonus: Get your man to scrub your back with it…then do his! 😉
This one is a no-brainer because it’s uh-mazing and because you probably already have all the ingredients needed in your kitchen! The recipe calls for coconut oil, baking soda and lemon. The coconut oil is super moisturizing, the fine grain in baking soda is a great exfoliant, and the lemon juice brightens the skin and fades hyperpigmentation/dark spots. I’ve been doing this 1-2 times a week and the results have been amazing! Soft, glowing, clear skin! Here’s the recipe:
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/8 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 drops tea tree oil (optional)
- Small bowl, stirring spoon, and measuring spoons
Let me know in the comments below if you have & tried and true beauty products/treatments that you swear by! I’d love to add them to my list! 🙂
